Elijah Adebayo promised to give everything for the Hatters fans in the final two games of the season after netting his tenth Premier League goal of the season to earn a vital point against Everton on his full return from injury.
Our striker followed up his late substitute’s appearance at Wolves with 80 minutes from the start against the Toffees amid an electric Kenilworth Road atmosphere.
His 31st-minute equaliser, cancelling out Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s opener from the penalty spot seven minutes earlier, raised the decibel levels even further than they had been before kick-off.
“Magnificent,” was the 26-year-old's reply when asked about the fans on Friday night. “Even before kick-off, they were fantastic. We could hear them, they were nice and loud and they know we are going to need them.
“They are going to need us too, and if they can sing like that and get behind us like that for the remaining two games, I’m sure we’ll give them something to shout about. We move on now to next week, rest recover and get ready to attack West Ham.”
Town travel to the London Stadium before hosting Adebayo’s former club Fulham on the final day.
“Every game has been massive, we find ourselves in this position now where we’ve got two games to give 110 per cent and make sure that we are on the right side of that dotted line,” he added.
“Yes, it’s going to be difficult, it’s going to be hard and the boys know that. But we trust each other in there, we back each other. The gaffer backs us, we back the gaffer and his staff, and there is trust throughout not only this squad, but through the whole club.
“We just want to make sure that we give the fans what they’ve deserved for being behind us for the whole season.”

After missing more than two months of the season with the hamstring injury that forced him out of the warm-up before the Manchester United match on February 18th, Adebayo also found time to praise club staff who have helped him return to reach double figures for the campaign and draw level with Carlton Morris.
“I was devastated when I found out how long I was going to be out for, tried to come back and it just wasn’t right,” he said. “I just got my head down and tried. It could have been easy for me to be ruled out.
“But I’ve done some fantastic work with the medical staff, they’ve all been top, and sports scientists have been top as well, and I can’t thank them enough for getting me back where I am today.”
